I wrote this poem and sent it out in an email on Thursday. I wanted to share it here as well so it could be cataloged properly. I hope you enjoy it!
As I reflect on Immanuel - God With Us, I wish you and yours a life of abundance today and in the new year. As they say in Latin, "Gloria In Excelsis Deo" - Glory in the highest to God. or, in English, Glory be to God on high.

"The Thursday Before Christmas"

It was the Thursday before Christmas
And all through the house.
No one knew how to cook,
Not even the mouse.
They relied on take-out,
But didn't despair.
Cuz St. Nick's Cooking Lessons
Soon would be there!
His rounded out menu's
For both Naughty and Nice.
His grocery list dialed,
He checked it twice!
For twenty-one days,
He'll give you his best.
And put all of your cooking
Skills to the test.
From Fajita Pie and Burgers
To Tacos and Chili,
Your meal prep to this point
Has just been silly.
His program's the best,
Just try it and see.
Or wrap it up for your loved ones,
Under the tree.
His cooking lessons are surely,
The world's greatest gift.
He'll make it easy to shop,
The checkout is swift!
So act today and prepare
To lose that belly.
Don't go another year,
With your bowl full of jelly!
